God Has the Last Word: Testimony of Cynthia Moreno - Two Cents of Faith

I'd like to share a testimony sent to me by Cynthia Moreno. I met Cynthia through TikTok after sharing a testimony I had of my own and she was eager to share hers. Here it is:

When I was a little girl my life was perfect per se. We were Catholic and would go to church every Saturday when we had time. I had two very very loving parents who absolutely always working. My dad always had two jobs and they always gave my sister and I the best. Every year we'd go to Ensenada to visit my grandparents.

On October 1999, we were coming back from LA with my parents, my two cousins, my little sister, my aunt, and me. We were coming out of the free way to go to a gasoline station when we got hit by a truck and it took our car out of the road. Luckily the car landed on all four tires but our car caught on fire and only one door in the back would open. I was sitting in the front in the middle in between my mom and dad and I think my face must have hit the front when the accident happened.

My dad died when they hit us and I was unconscious. Everybody got out on their own except for me and my dad. My mom was trying to take me out but couldn't because she had some broken ribs. Thank God a man helped take me out of the car. An ambulance went to pick everybody up except for me because I was the. most hurt one so a helicopter picked me up. We were all in different hospitals and the hospital I was in called my mom and they told her that I had injured my head very badly and that they didn't think I was going to make it past that night and to tell her my dad had died.

Three days later, my mom got out of the hospital and she went to see me and said she could not recognize me. I was very swollen with tubes, needles, and different machines all over my body. They opened my stomach to make sure it wasn't bleeding or to make sure I had no injuries. They opened my head and took out a bone to give my brain space because it was very swollen. I was in a coma for a little over a month.

A doctor told my mom that if I was to live, I would never walk, talk, move, or recognize anybody. My mom said she ran out of the room crying when she heard a voice asking , "Do you believe in men or do you believe Me?" That's when she went back in the room, grabbed my hand, and kissed it and told me how much she loved me. Days later when I was a little more stable, they transferred me from Bakersfield to Reno in a helicopter and the doctor told my mom that the doctor that operated my head saved my life but that I would have been better to let me die because I was never going to be a normal girl again.

My mom told him, "God has the last word," and he said, "No, I'm telling you now that this little girl will never wake up from coma again!" A couple of days later my mom met my pastor and his wife and they asked my mom if she wanted to accept God in her life and my mom accepted and every day they would go pray for me and little by little I started waking up and getting better but I literally had to learn how to do absolutely everything over again as far as eating, moving, walking, talking, etc.

When the nurses went to clean my mouth one night and were showing my mom how to do it because I had oxygen in through my throat, my mom saw that all of my front teeth were broken. She said she grabbed my little hand and crying. She promised me she was going to work very very hard to pay for my new teeth and when she accepted God into to her life and my pastor prayed for me the following morning, my mom went to clean my mouth and absolutely all of my teeth were perfectly back in my mouth.

The day I got out of the hospital the doctor that told my mom that It would have been better to let me die was very surprised and said I guess the God you guys prayed to is real because if that were my daughter, I would have just let her die. I was in the hospital October 18 until December 31st and after that straight to therapy all day. I remember my mom would drop me off at 8 and pick me up at 4.

My pastor absolutely always says when he's preaching, "If God did it with Cynthia, He can do it with any of us." He literally picked me up from being dead. I had three operations on my head. They shaved off all of my long beautiful thick hair I had. I was super skinny. I had an operation on my stomach, a feeding tube for when I was in a coma and a lot of other things. I had the whole left side of my body paralyzed but God is amazing and I can move my whole body again. I was always running, skating, riding my bike. I loved going on huge rollercoasters. I was super active. I loved playing tag and all the things a little girl likes to do but after the accident everything changed.

I'm telling you the "best doctors" that worked with me and the doctor that operated on my head said there was nothing more that could be done. There was no chance I'd ever wake up from a coma again and if I did I was going to be like a vegetable.

Please do share my testimony. I'd love to share my testimony, that way people can see how amazing, loving, and faithful our God is. All we need is a tiny bit of faith and He will take care of the rest. The doctors told my mom that I was never going to be able to move, walk or remember anything and one day my mom was sleeping on the chair she had right by my hospital bed. She had a dream that I was running around in the front yard waiting for her and my dad to get home from work because that's what I really used to do and she woke up and saw me laying on the bed. She asked God, "Why did you give me that dream when my daughter can't even stand up from this bed?" That's when she sat me up at the edge of the bed and I stood up and walked to where she was on the chair.

Then one day when I was laying in bed my grandma was taking care of me in the room and she put my bed up a little higher and she said, "Look, there is the casino where your mom works and there's the casino your grandpa works at." And I pointed and said, " Yea and there's the Circus." They said I wouldn't remember anything anymore and I graduated high school with all normal classes with a 3.89 GPA.

First, I would like to thank Cynthia for sharing her testimony as it is a reminder of the goodness of God and just what He overcomes and just because we think things are impossible, doesn't mean they are impossible for God. May we continue to remember that God has the final say. God bless you reader.
